Growth has a Cost

You know some days are just do not turn out the way you expect.  Yesterday I found out that a long time friend and Facebook friend un friended me. Rejection is not something I usually take very well. Today I received a reply to my gentle "Why"? He said he thought of my Facebook posts were "crap." Whether his assessment of my posts is correct or not I will leave that for someone else to judge. I guess we have one vote for the "crap" side so far.

In my reply to him I tried to be conciliatory in my tone. My intent is not to argue but I do want to start a discussion. It does not matter what I think or anyone else thinks. It is just an opinion. What really matters in a spiritual  conversation is "what does the Bible say?" I am committed to make my beliefs the same as what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me in the Holy Scriptures. I have changed alot. My beliefs have radically altered from denominationally centered to what I would call more Bible centered. It has been a very painful process for me but so rewarding. Can you imagine many of the beliefs you have held all your life thinking they are Bible centered but never taken the opportunity to examine them in light of the scriptures only to find that they are not found in the New Testament. I have come to a new fellowship of believers that does what they believe. They believe the the Bible is the Living Word of God, God breathed, God inspired Word that is sharper then any two edged sword. Not only do they believe this but the honor the Scripture in word and practice by teaching it to the people. This has been a very refreshing experience as we partake of the Word of God together. We are truly fed by the Holy Spirit. It has been amazing to say the least.
